I’m not comfortable having any kind of traditional chiropractic adjustment, is there an alternative?
Absolutely. Many first time clients are wary of having a chiropractic adjustment, especially on their necks usually due to negative press stories. If you are uncomfortable with being adjusted please let the chiropractor know and they can use different to techniques to mobilize your spine. Often, once a client gets used to being adjusted, gradually they become more comfortable with the process.
Is there any point in coming in if you feel okay?
YES! Often people wait until minor aches and pains become serious, chronic problems before seeking out any type of therapy. The truth is that everyday wear and tear has an accumulative effect. Coming in for regular treatments you can prevent more serious pains and injuries from occurring.
Is it normal to be sore after a treatment?
Yes. Occasionally you may feel a little sore as your body adjusts to the treatments. Having an epsom salt bath will help relieve this minor soreness. Acute pain is not normal after treatment and if it occurs you should call the therapist or doctor who treated as soon as possible.
Are your fees covered by the government or insurance?
Unfortunately OHIP no longer covers chiropractic adjustments, however, many insurance benefits plans offer coverage for chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine, orthotics and acupuncture.
